Test Shots!

To try and get a feel for my new cameras settings I took pictures of Jaxx the day our race was cancelled, this was very challenging because he is afraid of the sound of the cameras shutter so I had to use a telephoto lens. As is often the case with animals it was also very difficult for him to sit still, so I had to have plenty of treats handy. I love the top picture because of the way his blue eye draws attention to the center of the page even though he is off to the left. In the bottom two pictures I also like the golf cart paths leading lines. I had to play with the saturation in Photoshop a little bit in all of the photos because of my poor judgement in camera settings but overall im very happy with how they turned out!

Sun Cup, 2/22

I brought my camera but forgot my cord, so I will post my pictures later in the week.
When I get back to Hood River I would also like to go to that parking garage underneath Doppio and get some really disorienting pictures in there by placing the camera at unusual angles. There is also a good ledge with another ledge beneath near that garage, as well as another roof that could serve as a good setting for some shots that make it look as though the subjects are jumping off buildings. This ledge also has a clear view of the sky, uniterrupted by any other buildings. When I take some shots there in the early evening it will create a nice dramatic backdrop, hopefully the street lights will provide a good back lighting as well.

Also I was wondering if it would be OK to use photographs of people smoking
(the subjects will be of legal smoking age)

Similar to the shot I hop to get off of the ledge by Doppio

February 14th!

I really like this picture, I would like to take more like this but with the person jumping off the swing instead. I  would also like to take it in color, but at a time of day where their face is obscured but the lighting is still really dramatic.

I would also like to take some pictures like this, ones that capture today's youth.

I love these two pictures as well.

February 8th 2012

Right now I am trying to decide between four diffrent themes, Likeness between people and plants, Likeness between people and old toys, Sports as Art as well as something to do with recklessness.
